Play with a purpose!
Occupational Therapy is aimed at helping children gain independence and develop the skills to participate in meaningful daily activities, also known as occupations. Play is a meaningful occupation and a common therapeutic intervention tool as children learn through play. Occupations for a child also include self-care tasks, eating, social participation, learning, and participating in school activities.
I care deeply about providing child-centered care and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams. I received my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Dominican University of California. I have 7 years of pediatric experience in a variety of settings including outpatient clinic, early intervention, state preschool, and high school/adult transition programs. I specialize in developing therapeutic interventions to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, executive functioning, self-regulation, and daily living skills. I prioritize using a child-led and play-based approach to create an engaging and fun therapeutic environment that adapts to each child’s needs.
I provide evidence-based care as I am a certified Size Matters Handwriting Program Therapist and I am trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding. I have a wealth of experience across pediatrics and I have dedicated my career to it. I value building strong connections, partnering with families, and helping children increase their confidence in their own abilities.
